Welcome

Here, you can test your mastery of German grammar. What is the correct order of a simple German sentence? Remember this rule: Verb should alway at the SECOND place. This means: If "ich", "er" or any other subject leads the sentence, then the verb should follow it and take the second place. If a adverb or a adverbial phrase is in front of the sentence, then the verb [NOT "ich", "er" or any other subject!] should still take the second place and the subject like "ich", "er" etc. should follow the verb and take the third place.
It looks like this:
1) subject + verb + adverb (Ich lese heute.)
2) adverb + verb + subject (Heute lese ich.)
3) object + verb + subject (Das Buch lese ich heute.)
